Hello! I'm Chris Harrell. I have been teaching Drivers Ed in the Magic Valley since 2021. Ready 2 Drive is a very laid back, communicative, relaxed and fun driving school. We teach students and young adults how to safely operate a vehicle, understand all the traffic signs, rules and regulations on todays roads.
At the end of the course parents will feel safe about having a new teen driver in the house. We will work around your schedule to make your learning with us as convenient as possible. We service all of the Magic Valley and Mini Cassia areas. Areas outside of the Magic Valley and Mini Cassia areas will need to contact us for information.
At Ready 2 Drive we offer a low cost private driving school with the latest and greatest online course curriculum and the best behind the wheel instruction. We believe in giving every new driver the best and safest teaching instruction in both the online curriculum and behind the wheel instruction. We have partnered with Idaho Online Drivers Education as our online curriculum. This means there is no zoom meetings or google classroom meetings which makes it easier for your student to do the course work anywhere they have internet day or night even if you are on the go. The curriculum is a go at your own pace online course and gives you the most informative and best information to make your student safe and courteous on todays roads. We have also partnered with Schedule 2 Drive to make setting up drives easy and convenient without a lot of hassle. Simply create an account using our school code and choose the available days and times that works for you. Behind the wheel instruction consists of 6 hours of driving and 6 hours of in car observation. We teach your students the best and safest ways to drive safely on the roads and give them the best possible ways to understand the laws of the road during behind the wheel instruction.
You will get the best learning experience with us for the low cost of $325 and that includes both online instruction and behind the wheel instruction. We offer a buddy discount of $25 off for each buddy you get to sign up and take the course with you at the same time. We will schedule your drives with your buddy up to 1 buddy in the car with you. We offer a 10% discount to students of First Responder and Military parents with proper ID. We offer Drives only for $35/drive for those students that have done classwork elsewhere and just need drives or for anyone 17 and older with a learners permit already.

Obtaining Your Permit
To obtain your permit, follow these steps: Be at least 14.5 years old. Print and fill out the Authorization Form from the tab above. Print, read, and take all the bold items listed on the permit info tab with you to the DMV. The DMV will provide you with a receipt containing your permit number on it. Remember to bring this receipt on your first drive.
Course Sign Up Information
Notify Chris by text or email either before signing up or after signing up. Complete the registration form and driving rules form, then email them back to us. Submit payment through one of our convenient options. Take a picture of the DMV permit receipt and send it to us. Once you have paid and sent over required documents we will send you to our online instructor. Brian Johns from Idaho Online Drivers Education will send your student an invitation to start the online course. Students must pass the online course with at least an 80% score. Once the online course is completed, notify us, and we will help your student schedule the behind-the-wheel instruction.
Signing up for Drives
Drives can be scheduled through the convenient scheduling program, Schedule 2 Drive. From there, you can view available days and times for drives and select what works best for you. Students need a total of 6 one-hour drives and 6 hours of observation. On the student's 6th drive, we ask that a parent accompanies them for the last 30 minutes of the drive. If the available days and times don't work for you, or if you have any questions, please contact us, and we will gladly assist in scheduling the drives. The pick-up/drop-off location for drives varies and will be discussed prior to your first drive
Cancellation/Refund Policy
You can cancel your registration with us for the online course up until you start the online course which is when we send you over to our online instructor. Once you start the online course there will be no refunds given. When scheduling drives if you need to cancel your drives we ask that you cancel through your account at Schedule 2 Drive within 24 hours of drive. Notifying us after the 24 hour period will result in a $75 per drive cancellation fee. Certain exceptions do apply. Any fees you acquire are to be paid prior to student receiving their permit.
